The Admissions Center was established in April 2021 to be comprehensively responsible for all operations, from formulation of plans and projects related to the KMU entrance examination to their implementation, management, and administration.
For the convenience of applicants to the Faculty of Medicine, we have set up four local examination sites across Japan, and applications can be submitted via the Internet. In order to evaluate applicants from multiple perspectives, eight types of entrance examinations are conducted. Furthermore, in order to facilitate access to the program for students from diverse backgrounds, and foster good doctors with a rich sense of humanity, tuition fees have decreased drastically.
Regarding the admission of students to the Faculty of Nursing, in order to support students who want to become nurses, public health nurses, or midwives, tuition fees have been decreased since AY2023. For AY2025, the general selection will be conducted for two days to create more opportunities for applicants. The system to utilize external English language tests will continue for certain exams. The scholarship system and entrance exam fee discount system will still be available.
The Faculty of Rehabilitation was established in AY2021, and its first graduates completed their studies at the end of last academic year. For AY2025, the comprehensive selection, school recommendations, the Common Test for University Admissions, and the general selection. For certain exams, we have introduced a system that uses external English language tests. Since AY2025, significant changes have made to the scholarship system.
Our public relations for entrance examinations are being enhanced in order to attract more excellent applicants. In collaboration with the Division of Public Relations, established in AY2016, KMU is proactively engaged in such activities as preparation of a campus guidebook from the perspective of applicants, conducting Open Campus events and campus tours, posting PR in magazines and websites for examinees, and participating in orientation and consultation for entrance examinations.
